Mahendra Singh Dhoni has filed a criminal case against Mihir Diwakar and Soumya Vishwash of Aarka Sports and Management Limited in a Ranchi court. Diwakar allegedly entered into an agreement with MSD in 2017 to establish a cricket academy globally. However, Diwakar failed to adhere to the stipulated conditions outlined in the agreement. Aarka Sports was obligated to pay a franchise fee and share profits as per the agreement’s terms, which were not honoured.

Despite numerous attempts, the terms and conditions specified in the agreement were disregarded. Consequently, MSD revoked the authority letter granted to Aarka Sports on August 15th, 2021, and sent several legal notices, but to no avail.

Dayanand Singh, representing MS Dhoni through Vidhi Associates, has asserted that they were deceived and cheated by Aarka Sports, resulting in a loss exceeding Rs 15 crore.

Dhoni’s friend Simant Lohani, popularly known as Chittu, has also filed a complaint, alleging that he was threatened and abused by Mihir Diwakar after they took legal action against Aarka Sports.

Dhoni had a challenging phase as the former captain underwent knee surgery in June 2023. The procedure was successfully performed at Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai. His recuperation was a keen-followed topic and the cricket star spent time in Ranchi before he was seen in the public eye, trying out vintage cars and interacting with fans.

Chennai Super Kings CEO, Kasi Viswanathan, provided a reassuring update on Dhoni’s health, confirming that his recovery was progressing well. Dhoni himself expressed optimism about his rehabilitation, indicating that while he was going through the rehab phase, there were no issues with his day-to-day routine.
