Ravindra Jadeja Could Be Available for Second Test Against South Africa

India was missing some big stars in the bowling department when they went to face South Africa for the first Test which was held in Centurion. The side missed out on the duo of Mohammed Shami and all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja.

Jadeja was particularly a big miss as the all-rounder was a crucial part of the Indian side as he was regularly contributing with the bat which would have been handy in the Test against South Africa where India managed to lose by an innings and 32 runs.

Jadeja had missed out on the first Test against South Africa after picking up a back spasm. However, a PTI report suggests that Jadeja could be available for the second Test against South Africa which will be held in Cape Town.

The report also mentioned that Jadeja was “part of the warm-up session before the proceedings started in the middle.”

As per the report, “the all-rounder didn’t look in any sort of discomfort as he ran multiple 30 to 40-metre short strides during the morning session.”

The report also added, “But the most reassuring aspect was his bowling during the lunch break on the third day. Along with reserve pacer Mukesh Kumar, Jadeja, for close to 20 minutes, bowled on a practice track and was keenly watched by the team’s strength and conditioning coach, Rajnikant.”
