Sri Lanka Cricket Postpone Tier A 3-day tournament by two weeks

The Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has postponed it’s ongoing Tier A 3-day tournament by two weeks, Cricket Age reliably learns.

The major league tournament, featuring 22 teams in two groups, is currently underway, along with the Tier B tournament!

The official reason was given that due to the persistent rain, the decision of postponing the tournament was taken.

However, some clubs alleged that the tournament was postponed as Panadura SC and Tamil Union, two prominent clubs, are currently languishing at the bottom of the points table!

“Why only Tier A 3-day tournament was postponed? Is there no rain threat for the Tier B tournament? Last year was the same scenario, but that time it was not postponed” A top official of a leading club told Cricket Age.

SLC’s powerful vice president Ravin Wickramaratne handles Domestic Cricket, while Singhlease Sports Club’s (SSC) Samantha Dodanwela is currently the tournament director!
