‘Can’t Win The World Cup’: Rohit Sharma’s Explosive Take On India’s Continued Experiments

Written by Shreyas Vyas

Rohit Sharma-led Indian cricket team will aim to end their ten-year-old drought of ICC trophies in the upcoming ODI World Cup 2023. The Indian team last lifted an ICC trophy in 2013, when the MS Dhoni-led side, defeated England in the final of the Champions Trophy. However, since then, India has made it to eight knockout games in the last ten ICC tournaments but has not been able to convert their qualification into a title.

During the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 tour to Barbados, Team India skipper Rohit Sharma got a chance to pose with the trophy. Rohit also expressed his thoughts regarding the Indian cricket team’s campaign in the upcoming tournament and also on their preparations. Rohit said as per ICC:

We are back home again this year, so hopefully we can turn things around. It’s still a long way to go and we know you can’t win the World Cup in one or two days, you’ve got to play well the entire month, month and a half, and be consistent. We are trying everything we can from our perspective to make sure we are ready for that World Cup.
