Crowd chants for MS Dhoni when I bat at No.7, says Ravindra Jadeja on immense craze for CSK skipper

Ravindra Jadeja spoke about the unreal craze for MS Dhoni among the Chennai Super Kings’ (CSK) fans in the Indian Premier League (IPL). On Wednesday, May 10, Dhoni got the Chennai crowd on their feet when he smashed 20 runs off nine balls against the Delhi Capitals (DC) and rolled back the clock at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.

Dhoni came out to bat at No.8 in the 17th over, but the highlight of his knock came in the 19th over when he took the attack to Khaleel Ahmed. Dhoni hit the left-arm pacer for two fours and a six, taking the Super Kings to a decent score of 167 for eight in 20 overs.

“When I bat at 7, the crowd is disappointed and chats for Mahi bhai. Imagine if I bat higher; they will just wait for me to get out,” Jadeja was quoted as saying in the post-match presentation ceremony.

Dhoni eventually got out to Mitchell Marsh after he unsuccessfully tried to clear the long on boundary where David Warner took a simple catch.

As far as Jadeja is concerned, he became the Player of the Match after he finished with figures of 4-0-19-1 where he got the crucial wicket of Rilee Rossouw. Apart from his stupendous bowling performance, Jadeja also made a handy contribution with the bat, scoring 21 runs off 16 balls with a four and a six.
