Shivam Dube flaunted his power-hitting skills as he tore into the Royal Challengers Bangalore bowling line-up in a crunch IPL 2023 match for Chennai Super Kings at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Monday, April 17. Dube hit 5 sixes and 2 boundaries for his 25-ball 52 as he was in sensational hitting form.
The boundaries at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium were not big enough for Shivam Dube as he sent most of them flying into the stands. Two of his sixes hit the roof at the iconic ground where the stands were packed to the rafters for the marquee IPL 2023 match.
Speaking after his sensational six-hitting show, Shivam Dube credited his father for giving him enough protein nourishment as he grew into one of most fearsome strikers in the country.
“Since childhood, I have had this power. My dad has given me enough protein because he knows what is needed at this level,” Dube said.
Dube continued his love affair with the M Chinnaswamy Stadium wherein he got his maiden IPL fifty. On Monday, he notched up his 4th fifty and it was a statement from the left-hander as he punished every length that was bowled to him.
“It was amazing for me, playing at this stadium, on this wicket and in front of this crowd. I mentioned it before that I back my strengths and that was what was needed today. Definitely, I believe it is not easy to stop me when I get going, that’s what I believe and the team believes.
“The size of the ground and the wicket was good, and the freedom I got was something I enjoyed,” Dube said, thanking the team managemeent for the liscence to go big.
