Sri Lanka Cricket’s Chinthaka Jayanath Suspended In Forged Signature Case!

Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) evergreen scammer Chinthaka Jayanath has been suspended from his post of Assistant Manager tournaments for forging Board’s CEO Ashley De Silva’s signature, Cricket Age Exclusively learns.

Jayanath, one of the biggest serial scammer (proven) in Sri Lanka Cricket History, was temporary suspended on February 21st (Yesterday), pending a disciplinary Inquiry, after it was found that he forged Ashley’s signature! Cricket Age Exclusively learns that he took 7.5 Lakh LKR from a player and tried to send him Australia through Ashley’s forge signature. The matter is most likely to be handed over to CID for Investigation.


In committing frauds one after other, there are very few In Sri Lanka Cricket who can match Jayanath! Once, he was suspended for illegally sending domestic cricketers to Korea. Then, he took money from cricketers to send them Australia! He was also suspended once for making fake profiles of domestic players! But, he always managed to convince Maitland Place’s bosses to give him unlimited lifelines! After these frauds, he was transferred at High Performance Centre (HPC) In Khetterma! However, he joined SLC president Shammi Silva’s club Colombo Cricket Club (CCC) and eventually returned to Maitland Place once again.
