Mohammed Siraj became the new No.1 bowler after a string of superb performances against Sri Lanka and New Zealand in recent ODI series.

In the three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka, the right-handed pacer picked up nine wickets at an impressive average of 10.22.

Siraj finished with five wickets in the ODI series against New Zealand after he was rested for the final match, which India won to complete a 3-0 whitewash. His purple patch was also rewarded on Tuesday when he was named alongside Shreyas Iyer in the ICC’s ODI Team Of 2022.

Australia’s Josh Hazlewood is in the second spot with New Zealand’s Trent Boult in the third spot.
