India head coach Rahul Dravid flew to Bengaluru from Kolkata on Friday morning. The former India captain had reportedly complained of blood pressure during the 2nd ODI of a 3-match series against Sri Lanka in Kolkata on Thursday, January 12.

However, Rahul Dravid is fit and he is expected to rejoin the squad ahead of the 3rd and final ODI, which will be held in Thiruvananthapuram on Sunday. Dravid left from Kolkata early on Friday morning. He was spotted by one of his fans in the aircraft, wearing a grey hoodie and blue t-shirt. Dravid was also sporting a face mask en route to Bengaluru.

Dravid celebrated his 50th birthday on January 11 with the India cricket team. The head coach was seen cutting a cake at the team hotel. Wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan, in a video shared by the Indian cricket board, was seen smearing cake on Dravid’s face as the head coach enjoyed the love and admiration from the team during the birthday bash.

India have already sealed a 2-0 unbeatable lead in the ODI series against Sri Lanka after chasing a below-par 216-run target in the 2nd ODI in Kolkata. Led by KL Rahul’s patient 64 not out, India overcame a top-order wobble to chase down the target. In the first ODI in Guwahati, India rode on a hundred from Virat Kohli and fifties from Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill to post 373 and clinch a big win.
