Galle CC named First Class Players in Cricket Committee

Setting an example for the money driven domestic infrastructure in the Island, prestigious Galle Cricket Club (CC) has named three former first class players in it’s new Cricket Committee, Cricket Age reliably learns.

The newly appointed Cricket Committee comprises of Duminda Wickramasinghe (Mahinda College), Nihal Dharmasiri (Richmond College) and Shantha de Silva (St. Alyosius College).

“All three of them have played first class cricket for the club and comes from three main cricket playing college in Galle. They will be handling all cricket related activities of the club, without any external interfere” a top Galle CC official told Cricket Age.

In addition, in the supervision of president Kumar Smarasinghe, the top decision makers have also managed to convince current Sri Lanka U19 coach Chamila Gamage to associate with the club.

“With the service of all these highly experienced former cricketers, we hopes to turnaround the fortune of the club in upcoming domestic cricket season. The credit for all these positive initiatives goes to our honorable president, who is also a legend in corporate sectir in the country” the top official added.
