Former India T20I captain Virat Kohli has dropped out of the top 10 in the batting charts of ICC T20I rankings for the first time in more than 18 months. Kohli, who was rested for the 3-match T20I series against New Zealand, slipped from No. 8 to No. 11 in the latest rankings, updated on Thursday.

Meanwhile, India captain Rohit Sharma moved 2 spots to 13th in the ICC T20I men’s Batting Rankings. KL Rahul, who had a fine run in the 3-match T20I series, moved a spot to 5th. He is the only Indian who is in the top 10 list in ICC T20I Rankings. No Indian bowler or all-rounder is among the top 10, as per rankings on November 24.

Rohit Sharma was in imperious form in his maiden series as full-time T20I captain as he walked away with the Player of the Mattch Award after leading India to a 3-0 sweep of New Zealand. Rohit scored 159 runs in 3 matches at a strike rate of over 150.

Meanwhile, New Zealand opener Martin Guptill returned to the top 10 in batting charts after registering scores of 70, 31 and 51 in the recently concluded three-match T20I series against India. He has gained three spots as he sits at No.10.

Pakistan’s T20I captain Babar Azam continues to lead the T20I batting charts despite a poor outing in the 3-match series against Bangladesh. Mohammad Rizwan gained one spot, moving up to No.4 after accounting for 39 and 40 in the final two T20Is while young batter Haider Ali, who made a note-worthy 38-ball 45 in the final T20I, gained 53 spots to 184.

Mitchell Santner made significant gains in the bowlers’ list, soaring 10 spots to No.13 while India pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar has moved up to No.19 after gaining five spots. India spinners R Ashwin (up 129 spots to No.92) and Axar Patel (up 160 spots to No.112) are also among the top gainers.
