Team India’s tour of Sri Lanka has also marked the return of Chahal TV as ace spinner Yuzvendra Chahal took up his part-time anchor role on Sunday. Chahal roped in senior pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar and pace ace Deepak Chahar for a special episode of his talk show – Chahal TV. Indian vice-captain Bhuvneshwar was a star turnout for Shikhar Dhawan-led side in the 1st T20I of the ongoing three-match series between India and hosts Sri Lanka.

Bhuvneshwar took part in a freewheeling conversation with spinner Chahal and pacer Chahar after India’s massive win over Sri Lanka in the series opener contested at the R.Premadasa Stadium on Sunday. During the candid interaction, speed merchant Bhuvnehswar revealed that he was upset with Chahal who only invited the senior pacer after his bowling heroics against Sri Lanka in the 1st T20I.

Bhuvneshwar joked that his requests to appear on Chahal TV were turned down repeatedly by the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) star. “I am upset with Chahal, as this is my first time on his show. I kept making signs from the dressing room, requesting him to invite me on the show, but he never called me,” Bhuvneshwar said.

One of the finest swing bowlers in white-ball cricket, Bhuvneshwar showcased his death-bowling exploits to help India defend the below-par total in the 1st T20I. Riding on Suryakumar Yadav and Dhawan’s crucial knocks, India managed to set a challenging 165-run target for the Lankan Lions. Making sure that India finish ahead of Sri Lanka, pacer Bhuvneshwar bagged four wickets and leaked 22 runs in the thrilling contest.
