India is reeling severely under the second wave of the novel coronavirus. As a result, the cases are once again on the rise rapidly whereas the death toll has also touching record numbers. Thus, the need of the hour once again is to remain at home, take all necessary precautions and avoid the deadly virus spread.

Amid all this, there has been tension and nervousness among active players participating in the ongoing IPL 14 edition. Thus, many foreign recruits have returned back home. On the other hand, big star cricketers are again coming forward to educate one and all in the fight against Covid-19. After Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) pacer Pat Cummins’ generous donation, of USD 50,000 donation to PM Cares Fund on Monday (April 26), Delhi Capitals’ (DC) opener Shikhar Dhawan, too, shared words of advice for the countrymen via Twitter.

Dhawan tweeted, “A humble request to everyone to please take all the precautions issued to help fight COVID19. Wear your mask, observe social distancing and sanitize often. Those eligible, please donate plasma as well. Let’s win this battle.”

For the unversed, the coronavirus situation continues to remain very severe in India. Over 3.5 lakh people tested positive along with a record 2,812 deaths reported on Monday, April 26. After the KKR vs Punjab Kings (PBKS) clash, at the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium Ahmedabad on Monday evening, Eoin Morgan also pointed out at the post-match presentation, “It’s challenging (bio-bubble life). Things have to be managed, the players, the coaching staff within the group. When you consider the absolute horrific nature of what’s happening outside our bubble, we try and lend our encouragement to everything that’s going on not only in India but around the world.”

KKR captain added, “If you’re going outside, wear a mask, keep social distance. These are tough times for the world. Having seen it first hand at home, how devastating it can be, on behalf of KKR, we wish everybody who is ill well. But ultimately if we stick together, we can beat this thing.”
