Everything was going on smoothly for CSK, as MS Dhoni led side were also the only side to have a 6-day training camp prior to leaving for UAE. The entire team arrived in the UAE but the problems started to pop up after the third Covid-19 test in UAE. 13 members in the CSK contingent returned with a positive result and the news spread like a fire. Another major blow came when team’s star batsman Suresh Raina flew back to India on Saturday.

The were rumours and murmurs ever since his departure from UAE and exit from the entire season of IPL 2020. Reports emerged that Raina was unhappy with no balcony in his hotel suite, also there was a report that relatives of Suresh Raina have been brutally attacked by a group of robbers and his 58-year-old uncle had been killed in the attack.

Suresh Raina on Tuesday, took to Twitter to put a fullstop on all the speculations doing the rounds. In his nerve-wracking post, Suresh Raina revealed that his uncle was slaughtered to death, one of his brothers also died after succumbing to his injuries and his aunt (Bua) is on life support and in a very critical situation.

Suresh Raina’s IPL franchise CSK came up with a heartwarming post for Raina and his bereaved family. “Stay strong Chinna Thala, all the #yellove to you and the family,” Chennai Super Kings tweeted.

Suresh Raina exit from IPL 2020 has left the vital number 3 position in the batting line-up vacant. Some of the experts are suggesting that captain MS Dhoni should take the position because of his experience, while others have suggested the names Sam Curran and Ruturaj Gaikwad.
