Chennai Super Kings superstar Suresh Raina is waiting anxiously for the new season of the Indian Premier League to begin next month and took to social media on Sunday to express his excitement.

Raina took to Instagram to post a throwback picture with his CSK captain MS Dhoni and opening batsman Murali Vijay, all three dressed in the yellow jersey in what seems like a photoshoot from a previous season.

Chennai had finished runners-up to Mumbai Indians in IPL 2019 after losing a thrilling final by 1 run at the Rajiv Gandhi International stadium in Hyderabad.

“Counting days to get on the field and cherish every minute. Can’t wait for the season to begin,” Raina captioned the picture and tagged MS Dhoni and Murali Vijay in the post.

Chennai Super Kings will be vying for their fourth IPL title when the 8-team tournament begins in the United Arab Emirates from September 19. IPL 2020 had to be taken abroad once again this year due to the coronavirus crisis in the country.

UAE will be hosting the tournament for the second time after 2014, when it had played host to the first few weeks due to the general elections in India. South Africa was the first foreign country which hosted the IPL 2009, again due to the general elections in India.
