Employee’s Contracts: SLC Terminate Few, Extends Few More

Written by N Krishnamurthy

The Sri Lanka Cricket Board (SLC) has not renewed the contract of Security manager Kanishka Kularathna and few other employees, who were aged 60 or above, Cricket Age reliably learns.

According to sources, along with Kanishka, contracts of office assistant Leelananda and Maintenance worker S Jayasinghe have also not been extended.

“It seems that as per SLC HR policy, all these employee’s contract were not extended, as they were aged above 60” an insider at SLC told Cricket Age.

However, there are some exceptions as well.

Few other employees – Charmaine Cutilan, Shyamala Silva, Indunil Galagedara, KV Keerthi, Mahinda Gunaratnne who are also aged 60 or above – were given one year extension.

“Leelananda and Jayasinghe were minor employees, while all these are high profile and more importantly are indispensable. That’s why they have been given extensions, it seems” the insider added further.

Retained Employees:

Shyamala Silva: Confidential Secratary, President Shammi Silva

Charmaine Cutilan: Confidential Secratary, CEO Ashley De Silva

Indunil Galagedara: Executive Secretary, Head Of Domestic Cricket Chinthaka Idirimanne

KV Keerthisiri: Office Assistant

Mahinda Gunarathne: Office Assistant
