Rohit Sharma can become the first one to score a double ton in T20 cricket: Brad Hogg

Former Australian cricketer, Brad Hogg named Rohit as the only player who he thinks can become the first one to score a double ton in T20 cricket. A fan had asked Hogg on Twitter to pick a player who he thinks can make a double ton in the shortest format of the game.

“Rohit Sharma at presently is the only player I think capable of it. Good strike rate, all timing, and plays cricketing shots finding six options all around the ground,” replied the former Aussie spinner, who played 7 Tests and 123 ODIs for his country.

Apart from Sachin and Rohit, Virender Sehwag, Chris Gayle, Martin Guptill and Fakhar Zaman have scored an ODI double century in men’s cricket. With no cricketing action currently due to the coronavirus outbreak, Rohit will be seen in action next in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) which has been postponed to April 15.

Rohit is the only batsman in the world to have scored as many as three double tons in ODIs. Rohit scored his first ODI double century against Australia in 2013 before scoring two more against Sri Lanka in 2014 and 2017 respectively.
