Sri Lanka Chief Selector Asantha De Mel Rushed to Hospital, discharged later

Asantha De Mel, Sri Lanka Chief Selector, was rushed to a Kandy hospital on Tuesday after complaining chest pain and later discharged following the checkup, Cricket Age reliably learns.

Following a whitewash in the recently concluded ODI series, Sri Lanka are scheduled to play Two T20Is against West Indies, as first match will take place tomorrow at Pallekele.

According to sources, Asantha found blood pressure bit high in the morning and was immediately rushed to the hospital by the ambulance.

“He has been discharged after some tests and now is back to hotel” a team insider told Cricket Age.
