The orchestrator of India’s epic Super Over win in the third T20I versus New Zealand, Rohit Sharma would be eyeing a massive feat when he takes to the field at the Sky Stadium in Wellington for the fourth of the five-match T20I series against the Black Caps. Rohit is just 31 runs away from becoming the eighth Indian player to have aggregated 14,000 runs in international cricket and if he manages to touch the iconic milestone on Friday (January 31), then Rohit will join the likes of Mohammad Azharuddin, Virender Sehwag, MS Dhoni, Sourav Ganguly, Virat Kohli, Rahul Dravid and Sachin Tendulkar to have touched the 14,000-international runs mark.

Rohit, so far, in his career has aggregated a staggering 13,969 runs and is just 31 runs away from completing 14,000 international runs. While Rohit is about to scale mount 14k, the likes of Azharuddin (15,593), Sehwag (17,253), MS Dhoni (17,266), Ganguly (18,575), Kohli (21,777), Dravid (24,208) and Tendulkar (34,357) are other Indian cricketers to have achieved the landmark in their respective careers.

While Tendulkar sits atop the charts of highest run-scorer in international cricket, the likes of Kumar Sangakkara (28,016), Ricky Ponting (27,483), Mahela Jayawardene (25,957) and Jacques Kallis (25,534) complete the elite top five of highest run-scorers in the history of international cricket.
