Sachin Tendulkar hopeful about T20 World Cup chances

India legend Sachin Tendulkar said that the current Indian team is fully capable of producing quality cricket when they visit Australia for the upcoming T20 World Cup.

Speaking to Boria Majumdar, India Today Consulting Editor Sports, in the much-anticipated episode of India Today Inspiration, Sachin Tendulkar also said India has been playing some good cricket in the ICC tournaments.

“On the whole if I see we have been playing good cricket because that balance allows us to play on any part of the world and on any surface,” Sachin Tendulkar said when he was asked that was he hopeful about the current Indian Team.

The T20 World Cup is scheduled for 2020, and teams will be hoping to work out settled combinations as early as possible. India will get several chances to streamline their team as India are to play two other T20I series – against Sri Lanka and New Zealand – and the Asia Cup before the World Cup.

The 4th episode ‘India Today Inspiration’ which will be aired on December 21 at 6 pm, IST will have Sachin Tendulkar having candid chat with India Today Consulting Editor, Sports, Boria Majumdar.

“There are some teams who can challenge us. It will be nice to see how we can go there and produce some quality cricket which we are fully capable of,” Sachin said when he was asked about India’s chances in the 2020 T20 World Cup in Australia.
