Sujeewa Godaliyadda, Aruna De Silva, Janaka Pathirana reaches UK to cheer for Sri Lanka Team

Ahead of Sri Lanka’s next encounter against rampant England, the employees, stakeholders and Executive members (ExCo) of Sri Lanka Cricket Board (SLC) have reached in UK to support and cheer for the team. Sujeewa Godaliyadda (Western Central Province), Janaka Pathirana (Kandy Cricket Association) and Aruna De Silva (Head of departments, SLC) have arrived in UK with their families and went for sight seeing before the match.

Sri Lanka to play against England at Leeds on June 21.

With just one win and two washed out in five matches so far, Sri Lanka to face an uphill task to secure semi final place, as the their remaining matches are against India, England, West Indies and South Africa. To make things worse, Sri Lanka’s run rate is still in minus digits, as the team have failed to cross even 250 plus mark so far.

However, it is expected that the presence of highly influential People’s like Sujeewa, Aruna and Janaka Pathirana will motivate team to uplift their game.

21 June: Vs England at Leeds

28 June: Vs South Africa at Chester-Le-Street

1 July: Vs West Indies at Chester-Le-Street

6 July: Vs India at Leeds
