Rishabh Pant banter with Tim Paine became the talk of the town and even Australian Prime Minister couldn’t stop himself from joking with the youngster. Commenting on his on-field banter with Tim Paine, Rishabh said that he will give it back if someone provokes him.

“That’s how I am. If someone provokes me, I’ll give it back. I had a duty to do for my team. But I know the code of conduct. I remember my values. I have sledged and people have actually loved it,” he told The Times of India.

He was the first player to be sledged by Australians right on the day 1 of the Test series. Later, Rishabh hit back as he sledged Aussie skipper Pat Cummins standing behind the wickets.

His chatter with Tim Paine in the third Test drew limelight as the Australian captain asked him if he could babysit his children. “Tell you what big MS is back in the one day squad. Should get this bloke down to Hurricanes.. They need a batter. Fancy that extend you Aussie holiday, beautiful town Hobart too… get him a water front apartment. Have him over for dinner. Do you babysit? I can take my wife to the movies while you watch the kids,” Paine had said. In reply, he teased him by calling him a temporary captain.

Rishabh later met Paine’s wife and children as well and also posed with them. The picture went viral and the fans enjoyed the jovial nature of the duo.

India won the Test series 2-1 and were deprived of a third win in the series in the rain-marred fourth Test, where a total of five sessions were washed out due to bad weather.
