I love Virat Kohli, he is the best in the world: Darren Lehmann

Written by Vishwas Gupta

Former Australia coach said he loved India captain Virat Kohli and added he was the best batsman in the world. On Tuesday, Kohli scored his 39th ODI hundred as India beat Australia by 6 wickets in the second ODI at the Adelaide Oval. The three-match series is now level 1-1.

Just a little over a decade since his debut, Kohli now has 64 international hundreds – 39 in ODIs and 25 in Tests – which is third in the list of most international hundreds behind Sachin Tendulkar and Ricky Ponting.

Lehmann, who stepped down as Australia coach in the aftermath of the ball-tampering scandal in Cape Town, tweeted out a reply to a debate started by Fox Cricket.

”I love Virat Kohli ,best in the world . @MacquarieSport @FoxCricket”  He wrote

Go on, pick one: Sachin Tendulkar or Virat Kohli?

The debate may soon be that little bit easier to settle.
