Hardik Pandya to lose out on endorsement deals after controversial comments

Written by Vishwas Gupta

Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul were suspended by the Board of Cricket for Control in India after his misogynist remarks on Koffee with Karan, a talk show hosted by eminent Bollywood producer and director Karan Johar.

The discarded Indian all-rounder is all set to lose out on a big contract from one of the top-rated fitness brand. The name of the brand has not been made public yet, the owners have lost their interest in signing Pandya after his shabby comments on the show.

While Rahul was woefully out of form in the Test series and only managed 57 runs in five innings, Pandya though was a part of the Test squad for the last Test did not make it to the playing XI. He has been out of the ODI team since India’s Asia Cup triumph last year.

Indian skipper Virat Kohli in the pre-match press conference ahead of the first ODI has said that the team is not affected by this incident and is focused entirely on winning the series. As far as Pandya’s replacement is concerned, Kohli said that left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja will be used in his place if the need arises in the series.
