Kohli should not stop being aggressive, says Sandeep Patil

Former Indian cricketer Sandeep Patil has backed the Indian skipper Virat Kohli’s on field aggression by saying that he wants to witness the tiger in the wild and not inside a cage and added that if Kohli crosses the line then he will pay the price. during the second Test match, which was played at the Optus Stadium in Perth, Kohli was spotted having some war of words with Aussie skipper Tim Paine. The Indian captain was even caught coming into Paine’s way while the latter was taking a single during the match. But, Patil feels Kohli is like a tiger and he is right in turning on his aggressive side during a match.

“When a tiger’s claws and teeth are clipped, it becomes tame. Kohli’s aggression should not be thwarted and he is right in turning on the aggression. I want to see the tiger in the wild and not put in a cage,” Patil said.

“Look, there is the match referee to keep a check on things, the Indian cricket board too. If he crosses the line, he will pay the price but he should not stop being aggressive,” he added.
