Ashley De Silva Plans to renew Sumathipala camp employees contracts before new Sports Minister’s arrival

Ashley De Silva, the incompetent CEO of Sri Lanka Cricket Board (SLC), has been planning to renew the contracts of all the employees of former president Thilanga Sumathipala camp before the arrival of a New Sports Minister, Cricket Age reliably learns.

After Ranil Wickramsinghe was reappointed as country’s Prime Minister again recently, the UNP led government is expected to appoint a new Sports Minister.

According to sources, Sumathipala Camp is in fear, anticipating that former World Cup winning captain Arjuna Ranatunga might take over as the new Sports Minister. Sumathipala and Arjuna have been considered as enemies, thus Ashley De Silva wants to safeguard interest of Sumathipala’s people’s at any cost.

“Ashley De Silva, COO Jerome Jayarathne, Aruna De Silva, HR manager Dananjaya Wijesinghe all are dedicated to Sumathipala. Today morning, they called for a special meeting of employees at SLC and planned accordingly” an insider told Cricket Age.

According to sources, Ashley is trying to extend the contracts for two years. It is noteworthy that the contracts of majority of the SLC staff is scheduled to renew before December 31st.
