Mohammed Shami leaves the field with shoulder discomfort

Written by Abhishek Patil

Team India was off to a flying start on the Day 2 of the opening Test of the between India and Australia at the Adelaide Oval as Ishant Sharma and Ravichandran Ashwin gave visitors two early breakthroughs by sending opener Aaron Finch (0) and Marcus Harris (26) back to the pavilion. However, Indian fans were left sweating after one incident during the early hours of Day 2. Seamer Mohammed Shami was spotted leaving the field in what looked like shoulder discomfort in his bowling arm.

The Indian fans seem worried as Shami left the field after bowling the 17th over to Khawaja. The seamer was spotted holding his right shoulder while walking off. It could be a massive blow for the hosts as they are playing with just four bowlers – Ishant Sharma, Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah and Ravichandran Ashwin. And with no handy all-rounders available for Team India, they could be left with just three bowlers if Shami is not allowed to bowl anymore.
