Written by Vipin Darwade

Veteran Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh is known for his flamboyant style of playing cricket. He is easily one of the fiercest hitters of the cricket ball on his day and rarely fears anything on the pitch. However, Harbhajan has revealed that the thing which scares him the most are aircraft and travelling in the air.

On a recent television show – ‘No Filter Neha’ Harbhajan revealed his fear of travelling on a flight. “I have a phobia of travelling in a flight, am scared of it. Now it has reduced considerably. I also have a phobia of getting into a lift. What if it stops and I am stranded alone,” he explained.

Harbhajan also opened up on a lot of things on the show including his marriage with wife Geeta Basra. He revealed that it was after the 2011 World Cup that he met Geeta for the first time and how their love story unfolded. Harbhajan also talked about his disliking for swing and why he would never sit on one.

The veteran spinner is currently out of favour with the national team and has also pulled out of the domestic tournaments for his state – Punjab.  His last appearance for India came in ODI game against South Africa in October 2015. He has since remained sidelined from the national team due to poor form and lack of fitness.
