Nobody has the right to tell MS Dhoni when to retire: Shahid Afridi

In a recent interaction with Times Now, Former Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi spoke about former Indian skipper MS Dhoni saying that the former Indian skipper needs no opinion from others regarding when he wants to retire from the game. He added further that what MS Dhoni has done for Indian cricket over the years he doesn’t need to be guided by anyone else regarding the important decisions of his career.

“What Dhoni has done for team India nobody else can and nobody has the right to tell him when to retire. 2019 Dhoni needs to be there for India to have good chances” Afridi said.

The Indian team management decided to drop him from the Indian T20I squad for the series against West Indies earlier and now against Australia. However, Virat Kohli has not counted him out entirely from the scheme of things in T20I cricket. The Dhoni-less Indian team got off to a losing start in their ongoing T20I series down under as they lost the first T20 at The Gabba. The second game in Melbourne was abandoned due to rain.
