Thilanga Sumathipala, the discarded former president of Sri Lanka Cricket Board (SLC), was involved in an ugly fight with country’s newly appointed agriculture minister, Cricket Age reliably learns.

Sumathipala, who was thrown out of the SLC on May 31st after trying to manipulate the appointment process of election committee, has been trying to make a comeback at SLC since then.

According to sources, the incident happened on thursday, November 1st, at country’s president Maithripala Sirisena house. As Sirisena-Rajapaksa alliance is battling the task to prove its majority into parliament, there was serious discussion going on between the UPFA ministers. However, Sumathipala unnecessarily started to shouting at newly appointed agriculture minister Mahinda Amaraweera and soon the argument turned into an ugly fight.

It finally stopped, only after Sumathipala was forcefully taken out of the president’s house.

Interestingly, the same kind of incident happened last week as well, when Sumathipala ignored Sports Minister Faizer Mustapha, when the minister tried to communicate with him.

It is noteworthy that as soon as Mahinda Rajapaksa returned in Sri Lanka political fold is Prime Minister, Sumathipala is shamelessly showing that he is behind Rajapaksa – Maithripala patch up! On Sumathipala’s official Facebook account, there were dozens of post that reads ‘job done.’ a forcefully adopted and ‘cursed’ son of Sri Lanka Cricket, there are talks that now sumathipala is eyeing on a ministerial portfolio, as he knows his career as a cricket administrator has almost finished!
