Rohit Sharma’s Backfoot Play Suited For Australia : MSK Prasad

Written by Abhishek Patil

Chairman of selectors MSK Prasad gives his reasons to pick and drop players.

On Dhoni: He is not going to play the six T20s because we are looking at second wicketkeeper. It will be between Rishabh Pant and Dinesh Karthik and they will get a chance.

On Hardik: He is not yet recovered. He is not there till November 15. It is difficult to match Hardik’s all-round ability. We don’t see that kind of talent in India. We expect Bhuvneshwar to come good.

On Vijay: Vijay has been dropped from England series. He went back and played county. Showed intent and performed. Considering the intensity of the series, we considered him for Australia.

On Rohit: With regard to Rohit we felt his nature of play (was suited). He is a very good backfoot player.
