Two Former SLC ExCo Members Emerges ‘Main Culprits’ In Excise Department Raid Fiasco

The magistrate court has reportedly slapped Rs. one Lakh fine on classic destinations in the ‘excise department officials raid’ fiasco that took place during the fifth and final ODI between Sri Lanka and England at R. Premadasa on Tuesday, Cricket Age reliably learns.

In addition, the court has also pointed fingers towards Two powerful officials of Sri Lanka Cricket Board (SLC) (one is former ExCo member and other is the head of a department), by naming both of them as the main culprits.

On Tuesday, the Colombo excise department officials raided an air-conditioned private spectator box and busted a major racket of selling foreign liquor to English Cricket fans, during the fifth and final ODI at R. Premadasa.

The excise department officials secretly filmed SLC wrongdoings and have already produced the evidence in the magistrate court.

According to sources, the two accused, whom excise department had arrested and produced before the magistrate court, have put all the blame on SLC, by stating that they were just following the orders of the board.
