Written by N Krishnamurthy

Of late, Sri Lanka Cricket Board (SLC) has become notorious for all kind of wrongdoings. Instead of trying to uplift the game in the Island, SLC is completely focused on making money by all sort of unethical things.

In the latest episode, SLC has caught red handed while selling liquor without licence. The most shocking thing is that the SLC was doing this during a live international match – during the fifth and final ODI between Sri Lanka and England at R. Premadasa on Tuesday.

According to sources who were present at the ground, the excise department officials secretly filmed their wrongdoings and now will produce the evidence in the magistrate court in next few days.

In addition, Cricket Age understand that one of the former ExCo member, who was notorious for such illegal things during Thilanga Sumathipala tenure at SLC is pushing excise department to not produce the footage in the magistrate court.

Another shocking fact is that SLC was doing this unethical practice in the presence of Sports Minister Faizer Mustapha appointed Competent Authority Kamal Padmasiri, who was the chief guest of board’s so called ‘Merchandise arm.”
