Written by N Krishnamurthy

Chandika Hathurusingha, the head coach of Sri Lanka team, had promised cricket loving public at the time of his appointment in December 2017, that the team would be back on the winning track shortly. Ten months later, Hathurusingha has no achievement to show! It seems now, not only the Cricket fans, the general public has also realized the lie of Hathurusingha! The latest incident before the third ODI at Pallekele Cricket Stadium suggests the same!

For the third ODI both Sri Lanka and England team’s have reached at Kandy. However, Hathurusingha is staying in a different hotel, instead of staying with the team.

According to sources, in the hotel, Hathurusingha had a big argument with the general manager, as he had wanted a big room for himself, as his family is also staying with him. However, the manager didn’t like Hathurasingha behavior that much as he has advised him to first go and win some matches for Sri Lanka!

It is noteworthy that in Dambulla as well, Hathurusingha opted to stay in a different hotel, instead of staying with the team!

Sri Lanka lost the second ODI at Dambulla comprehensively, after first match was abandoned due to persistent rain.

Sri Lanka’s in form batsman Kusal Perera has been ruled out from the tomorrow’s game with hamstring and Young Sadeera Samarwikrama is set to replace him.
