South Africa To Arrive In Sri Lanka Today For Bilateral Series

South Africa team will arrive in Sri Lanka this evening for the bilateral series. During their 42 days stay in the Island, South Africa to play Two tests, five ODIs and one-off T20I.

The first test between two sides to kick off from 12th July in Galle.

However, even though South Africa is arriving in few hours, Sri Lanka has not announced the President XI squad as yet. It is noteworthy that Sri Lanka Cricket Board (SLC) is currently run by Sports Minister Appointed Competent Authority. Presently, he is in Ireland taking part in ICC Meeting with board CEO Ashley De Silva.

This will be South Africa first assignment after their Premier Batsman AB De Villiers high profile retirement in May.

In Sri Lanka Camp, the availability of Test captain Dinesh Chandimal and Coach Chandika Hathurusingha is not confirmed, as the ICC Will announce its verdict against both of them for their involvement in breach of Spirit incident during the second test against West Indies recently.
