Written by Abhishek Patil

Former India legend Sachin Tendulkar committed a major blunder while wishing hockey player Sardar Singh on the occasion of his 300th international game. The ‘Master Blaster’ mistakenly used the photo of Mandeep Singh while wishing the former India captain. He also congratulated the Indian hockey team for continuing its winning streak in men’s Hockey Champions Trophy after it defeated Argentina in its second game of the tournament.

India had opened the Men’s Hockey Champions Trophy campaign with a resounding win over Pakistan by a margin of 4-0. In the second game, the PR Sreejesh-led team scored two goals, one in excess of Argentina, the defending champions.

“Fantastic weekend for the @TheHockeyIndia team beating Argentina after a stellar win yesterday. Special mention to @imsardarsingh8 on playing his 300th game for India! #ChampionsTrophy. #INDvARG,” he wrote on Twitter.

India will now face Australia in their third contest on June 27 followed by two more league stage games against Belgium (June 28) and Netherlands (June 30). The final of the tournament is scheduled to be played on July 1.
