Ravin Wickramaratne Unsuccessfully Attempts to Re-Launch Himself

Written by Rohit Pawar

Sri Lanka Cricket Board (SLC) has stooped so low, that the administration even allowed it’s match fixing accused assistant secretary Ravin Wickramaratne to organize a Press Conference on Tuesday, in an unsuccessful attempt to re-launch himself.

Ravin, a controversial administrator, has been accused of match fixing in a domestic match between Panadura and Kalutara. Sports Ministry has declared him as the main culprit of the fixing Saga, that took place in January 2017, and recently asked SLC for an explanation, over his suspension.

However, as SLC election are scheduled for May 31st, the Sumathipala Led administration has no courage to take action against him, even after the directives from the Sports Minister.

Furthermore, on Tuesday, he tried to relaunch himself through a press conference and pretended that he is innocent.

During the Super Flop press conference, Ravin even mentioned that few media groups have deliberately targeting him. However, he didn’t reveal why he didn’t go to ICC meeting in Kolkata even after getting tickets and allowances from the SLC and why Former Sri Lanka player Chamara Silva has submitted an affidavit against him in the fixing Saga, if he is that much innocent.
