Sri Lanka Test Opener Dimuth Karunaratne Ruled Out Of West Indies Tour

Sri Lanka Test opener Dimuth Karunaratne has been ruled out for six week of International cricket due to a finger injury. He will miss the test series against West Indies to be played in Caribbean Islands, Cricket Age reliably learns.

Karunaratne suffered a fractured finger whilst batting in the nets yesterday (May 1st, 2018) in preparation for the Super Provincial Limited Over Tournament.

After being examined by a medical specialist today to determine the injury, he has been advised to take rest for at least Six weeks to recover.

It means, he will miss the test series against West Indies. Sri Lanka next assignment is against West Indies, where they are scheduled to play three tests, starting from June 6.
