Sri Lanka Cricket Board (SLC) President Thilanga Sumathipala, on Wednesday, has resigned from his Post of deputy speaker, Cricket Age reliably learns. Apart from Sumathipala, Sports Minister Dayasiri Jayasekara and 14 other ministers have also resigned from their ministerial portfolios.

“The President of the country Maithripala Sirisena has also accepted their resignation, thus it will be effective from tomorrow” a UNP Minister told Cricket Age on the term of animosity..

Right after Country’s Prime Minister Ranil Wickramsinghe emerged winner in last week No Confidence Motion in parliament, Sumathipala and Dayasiri Departure was just the mater of time.

Dayasiri, a SLFP Parliamentarian, was the main architect behind the No Confidence Saga against the country’s Prime Minister Ranil Wickramsinghe. Right from the Rajapakshe party’s grand victory in the local elections in February, Dayasiri was trying to topple Wickramsinghe.

Sumathipala, though didn’t commit any strategy against Prime Minister, voted against him during the No Confidence Motion.
