SLC Stops Women’s Cricket Live Telecast To Avoid Embarrassment

Sri Lanka Cricket board (SLC) has stopped the live telecast of the ongoing series against Pakistan Women’s team in order to avoid the embarrassment after confines defeats of its women’s team, Cricket Age reliably learns.

The ongoing Sri Lanka Pakistan Women’s bilateral series Consist of Six matches including three ODIs and three T20Is.

At the beginning of the Series, SLC announced to telecast all the matches on Eye Channel. Not only this, in order to do the live telecast, SLC even shifted the venue of the 2nd T20 game to SSC from the NCC.

However, after Sri Lanka Women’s team lost First Two ODIs helplessly, SLC decided to stop the live telecast.

“No end of Sri Lanka Women’s team loosing streak. So, avoid the embarrassment and humiliation, SLC decided to not to telecast the matches” A top official of SLC told Cricket Age.

After being defeated 3-0 in the ODI series, Sri Lanka team has lost first T20 as well.
