Mushfiqur Snake Dance Was For Hathurasinghe?

Written by Rohit Pawar

Bangladesh cricketer – Mushfigur Pahim’s outstanding innings against Sri Lanka was a deliberate attempt to ‘get back’ at their former coach – Chandika Hathurusinghe. Bangladesh team sources say.

Bangladesh achieved a target of 215 with five wickets to spare. Mushfigur Rahim produced one of the greatest T20 innings with an audacious 72 off 34 balls.

Following their epic victory, Rahim did a brief snake dance, imitating a cobra about to strike and footage of this is currently going viral online.

It is said that the snake dance too, was intend for Hathurusinghe who is currently the Sri Lankan coach.

During Bangladesh’s tour of South Africa a few months ago, the team was led by Rahim and coached by Hathurusinghe. The tour was termed as a disaster and led to several issues within the team. Following a clash between himself and Rahim, Hathurusinghe had reported the latter to the Bangladesh Cricket authorities, who in return had stripped Rahim from the captaincy.

It is also said that many other players of the Bangladesh team also view Hathurusinghe with intense dislike.
