After a record breaking South Africa tour, both as a captain and as a player, Former greats of the game, statisticians and several others in the cricketing fraternity have been falling short of words to praise Indian captain Virat Kohli. While the Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar called Kohli’s innings as ‘remarkable’, when one Twitter user asked Sehwag how many ODI centuries will the Indian captain finish his career with, Viru replied with a rather bold number of 62.

“How many odi’s centuries will virat be able to make at the end of his career ??? #AskViru virat kohli,” a fan asked as the Nawab of Najafgarh start a session of #AskViru on Twitter.

“62” was the answer from Sehwag, which is 13 more than Tendulkar’s tally of 49 hundreds in the format. It proves that like many other former greats and pundits, even Virus believes Kohli will overhaul Sachin’s numbers.

Sachin has 49 centuries and 96 fifties in 463 ODI matches to his name and after playing 208 One-Day internationals, Kohli has already amassed 35 tons and 46 fifties. The 29-year-old’s average of 58.10, is also better than that of Tendulkar’s (44.83).
