Angelo Mathews ruled out of third T20I with Injury

Sri Lanka former captain and premier allrounder Angelo Mathews has been ruled out from the third T20I against India with the injury, he sustained during the Indian innings of the second match at Indore on Friday.

Mathews, Who bowled beautifully in ODI series, picked the leg injury during the 11th over of Indian innings, while bowling. He had to leave the ground immediately and off spinner Akila Dananjaya completed the over.

Later, Mathews didn’t come to bat as well, as Sri Lanka comprehensively lost the match by 88 runs, chasing a mammoth target of 261.

Since 31st August 2016, Mathews has missed 37 international matches for Sri Lanka due to various injuries, that includes 6 tests, 20 ODIs and 11 T20Is.

The third T20I to be played at Wankhede Stadium Mumbai on 24th December.
