Navindu Pahasara : The Boy who hit Seven Consecutive Sixes In Murali Goodness Cup

Navindu Pahasara, a product of FOG Cricket academy, lit up the inaugural U15 Murali Goodness Cup with his brutal power hitting and established an unique record of hitting Consecutive Sixes.

In the final of Murali Goodness Cup, played at Hikkaduwa Sri Sumangala MCC Lords on Saturday December 9, Pahasara showcased his enormous Six hitting abilities in front of the Legend himself : Muttiah Muralitharan.

As his team batted first against Dharmapala Kottawa, he came to bat at number three and took only 87 balls for his 109 runs, and most memorably hit seven Consecutive sixes To Help his team in posting a mammoth total of 283 for 7 in 36 overs.

During his destructive knock, he smashed seven consecutive sixes in one over, which included a no ball. This is most probably a world record at any level in Cricket history.

Mesmerized by his Towering sixes, The Legend Murali also praised him and gave blessings for his bright Cricketing future.

Pahasara, a strongly build right handed batsman, has already taken big strides in school cricket in Sri Lanka, as he represents Revata College Balapitiya in the U15, as well as in the U19 Teams.

The Murali Goodness Cup was entirely sponsored by Legendary Muttiah Muralitharan and Foundation Of Goodness. The legend was there for the final and made it a memorable day for all the young players, as he gave the trophy and awards.

Last year too, a young spinner Kevin Koththigoda being scouted by Muralitharan during the Harmony Cup. He was the most sensational bowler of recently concluded U19 Asia Cup in Malaysia.
