Written by Vipin Darwade

Sri Lanka former dashing left-hander Russel Arnold has picked two Indian and two Australian players in his Dream test XI, though, he didn’t pick team India’s captain Virat Kohli in his team, and also only Rangana Herath from his own country could find a place. Unlike his fellow ex Cricketers Arnold named a team of current players.

He put Australian swashbuckling opener David Warner and South Africa run-machine as his opening pair. Team India’s Mr. Dependable Cheteshwar Pujara is the number three batsman in his team. Interestingly, Arnold Chose New Zealand Kane Williamson and the captain of the side, instead of Australian Steve Smith. He placed Williamson at number four while Smith at number five.

Quinton De Kock is the wicket keeper of his team, while he picked England’s talismanic Ben Stokes as fast bowling allrounder.

The middle-order batsmen picked his countrymen Rangana Herath and India’s Ravichandran Ashwin as the two spinners in his team. England’s James Anderson and Kiwi star Trent Boult as the pace bowling option in his dream team.

Russel Arnold’s dream Test XI:

David Warner, Hashim Amla, Cheteshwar Pujara, Kane Williamson (C), Steve Smith, Quinton de Kock (wk), Ben Stokes, Ravichandran Ashwin, Rangana Herath, Trent Boult, James Anderson.
