Shameful! Virat Kohli caught-on-cam chewing gum during National Anthem

Written by Toshi Pawar

Virat Kohli has dragged himself into a controversy and he was seen chewing gum when the national anthem was played ahead of the day one of the first test against Sri Lanka in Kolkata on Thursday.

This might create a few problems for him on social media. Before Kohli, Parvez Rasool faced nationwide criticism for chewing gum during the national anthem earlier this year. The incident happened in January 2017 in a T20I match against England at Green Park, Kanpur.

On the first day of Kolkata test, Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to field first. Indian batsmen couldn’t cope up with the extra seam movment of the pitch and team India were reeling at 17/3 at stumps.
