The real reason why presentation ceremony was cancelled of India vs Australia T20I

Written by Vipin Darwade

The India vs Australia 3-match T2oI series ended in a draw after the rain played spoilsport at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad during the final game on October 13. Continuous rainfall before the match resulted in wet patches all over the ground.

But more Surprisingly, the post-match presentation was also cancelled and players were sent back to their hotel.

According to a Times Now report, the prize distribution ceremony was also called off due to security reasons. Keeping the Guwahati bus attack incident in mind, the ceremony was scrapped to avoid any such situation. Eventually, the players left the stadium as soon as the match was abandoned.

Later, the BCCI shared a picture on Twitter where both Virat Kohli and David Warner could be seen sharing the series trophy.

After the Australian series, team India will now host New Zealand.
