Kusal Mendis batting at 5 disappoints Sangakkara

As Sri Lanka suffered a heavy defeat in the first ODI against Pakistan yesterday, the strange batting order of the team, chasing a stiff target of 293, left everyone shocked.

Mysteriously, Sri Lanka management opted to send Dinesh Chandimal at number three, after the fall of first wicket. Kusal Mendis, the designed number three batsman, came at number five and failed miserably.

These unwanted shuffle in batting order left everyone guessing, even to Legendary Kumar Sangakkara.

“Why is @KusalMendis1 batting at #5? Shouldn’t he be 3 or 4 in the ODI’s” posted an frustrated Sangakkara, by the continues change in batting position of Mendis.

Earlier, Cricket Age published how Sri Lanka team management is ruining the confidence of Kusal Mendis by frequently changing his batting order since last few series.
