Dhoni averages 89.75 after giving up ODI captaincy!

After stepping down as team India’s ODI captain, MS Dhoni has been making runs with a ‘Bradman like’ average! The vintage Dhoni not only playing match winning knocks, but also helping young Indian team to rescue from the hopeless situations, whenever team finds itself in pressure.

After relived from the captaincy, he has so far played 14 ODI innings where he has notched up 627 runs at an average of 89.57 and strike rate of 85.65. He even scored a phenomenal hundred against England during their tour of India in the second ODI of the three-match series in Cuttack, and has also smashed five half-centuries during this period.

More importantly, he showed his abilities of handling pressure and stitching partnership with lower order. In first ODI against Australia, he formed a 118-run stand with Hardik Pandya. In Sri Lanka, he along with Bhuvneshwar Kumar built an unbeaten partnership of 100 runs for the eigth wicket helping India win the match by 3 wickets in Kandy.
