Written by Rohit Pawar

As it has been the case right from the beginning of the test series between Australia and team India in Pune, the pitch once again in the limelight, and this time it is Dharamsala pitch, venue for the fourth and final test.

Heading into the test, HPCA chief curator Sunil Chauhan said the pitch would be a true wicket with plenty of assistance for the fast bowlers. On Friday, the extra grass on the pitch was shaved.

Commenting on the wicket, Smith said, “I am not good at assessing wickets. There is some grass and it looks dry underneath. It will take a reasonable amount of spin as the game progresses. It will be important to post a big total on this pitch.”
